Seeing through the eyes of others

poetry and writings based on the truth of life. Everyone sees through their own lenses. Trade glasses with someone else and view your world…and theirs. I write personal, I write upon request and not limited to one area, genre, or style

In the quiet of somethin’ you cain’t quite name, just turn your heart up toward Heaven like it is, no fixin’, no dressin’ it up

There’s a stillness that don’t ask you to explain yourself none, it just waits on you, in a slow breath, in that little pause where everything eases down

Let it all come on, the thank-yous you ain’t said, the weight you been totin’, the questions that ain’t got no shape; none of it’s turned away

Not the parts you keep hid off, not the words you won’t speak, not even the silence itself

Stay there a spell, ‘cause somethin’s goin’ on, quiet and steady, like maybe bein’ heard don’t take a sound, like maybe the miracle’s been sittin’ here with you all along
