The light settles low over the grass, warm as a hand laid easy on a tired shoulder
Wind moves through the field in a slow, plain way, carrying the scent of dust, wild bloom, and summer heat
She lies still as if the earth itself has made room for her rest
Nothing asks for hurry here
The day opens wide and quiet, and even the shadows seem kind
Far off, the horizon holds its own counsel, soft and steady, grace at work
And in her breathing is a hush, with the sun turning gold at the edges, found in her heart is peace so gentle, and her new happiness is grand enough to feel like home.
