Seeing through the eyes of others

poetry and writings based on the truth of life. Everyone sees through their own lenses. Trade glasses with someone else and view your world…and theirs. I write personal, I write upon request and not limited to one area, genre, or style

You pulled the pin!

“God is still working on me” is not a free pass to keep doing what you already know is wrong.
There should be a clear break from old ways, towards a direction that is unmistakable.
If nothing is changing, if there is no resistance against sin, no conviction, no desire to turn, then something is off, no matter what label you claim…. don’t continue to tell me…. Talk to the real Jesus…

The problem is that too many have replaced Jesus with personalities, platforms, and self focused programs that indoctrinate rather than offer the true freedom of Christ.
When the spotlight shifts from Christ to self, truth gets softened, sin gets renamed, and conviction disappears….

oh, for you “conviction” people…. I’m using definition 3:
(CONVICTION, n. (WEBSTERS 1828)
3. The act of convincing of error; confutation; the act of compelling one to acknowledge his error, or the truth of what is alledged; as, the conviction of a heretic may induce him to abandon his errors…..)

What used to be called sin is now defended, explained, and even celebrated.

That is not the gospel.

That is self righteousness dressed up as spirituality; Jesus has never been about appearances, excuses, or endless explanations which literally avoid the salvation message or subsequent prayers for healing, faith, strength etc

If you find yourself constantly justifying what you know is wrong, stop.
Be honest. Something is out of alignment….
Tiny “f” bombs, worldly jokes or memes or sharing posts that are ladeled with cursing or things that The Holy Spirit wouldn’t say……..

Your mind, and heart, about the truth and Christ didn’t become a fragmented grenade alone ,,,,, you pulled the pin!

we are not called to dress as the world, remain broken or in a healing state…
You would not leave your car in the shop week after week, hear what is broken, and keep returning to get the mechanic to repeat it again, nor would you continue driving it the same way. You’d fix it….

Why treat your soul, mind, and heart with less urgency?
