As children of God, we are called to live with an expectancy that Jesus could return at any moment. That hope should not produce fear, but sobriety, humility, and a heart that stays ready before God.

Every day should be a day of repentance, because Scripture calls us to repent and turn to God so that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.

Repentance is not condemnation, and it is not punishing ourselves; it is a willing turning back to the Father with honesty, faith, and love, some choose the word confession or confessing.

Lexicoligy and Etymology would say it this way:
Confession is often the first step in repentance, because a person must name the sin honestly before they turn from it:Repentance is broader: it includes sorrow for sin, a changed heart, and a new direction of life.

So, confession can happen without full repentance, but genuine repentance normally includes confession.
In the daily Christian life, a believer may confess sins often, because awareness of sin happens repeatedly, anger, words, phrases, habits, TV choices etc. Things that the Holy Spirit wouldn’t do……

Repentance can also be daily, in the sense of continually turning from wrong habits and toward obedience to God, working on self care, self control… There’s no ‘umbrella’ word that let’s you do as you wish or want, especially if it’s wrong.

So the two words can be closely connected in practice, but they are not perfect synonyms
Therefore, to live this way is to walk in the gentleness of Jesus rather than in arrogance or spiritual pride.

The Lord calls His people to humility, and the life of Christ shows that true greatness is found in lowliness and dependence on God.

Repentance keeps our hearts tender, our conscience awake, and our fellowship with Christ clear. (No, we are not repenting daily or renewing salvation, or seeking forgiveness) Living in repentance means living in truth, love, respect, and care for ourselves and others, while remembering what Jesus accomplished at Calvary. It is the daily posture of a redeemed heart: ready, humble, and grateful.

The posture, the way, the life, the proper rather than the improper, choosing to do what you want to do, yet that’s Christ!
