The words are fading
The writing has come undone
Pages loosen from the heart and drift across the dark water: The separation of heart, mind, and soul has happened
I am drowning; it’s all drowning
Ink dissolves beneath my fingers, and every sentence becomes a current. I am left to speak but I, too, will succumb, as did the writing
Still, a page rests against my face, soft as a memory
Don’t forget me, Don’t forget the writing, Don’t forget the beauty of life
Hold the fading words
Remember
