Seeing through the eyes of others

poetry and writings based on the truth of life. Everyone sees through their own lenses. Trade glasses with someone else and view your world…and theirs. I write personal, I write upon request and not limited to one area, genre, or style

The sun has to hide in her perfectness.

Some people arrive like morning light, not asking the

world to notice, yet every eye turns softly and every guarded heart grows open

She carries beauty without claiming it, her facial features are a miracle of creation, a brightness no mirror could ever contain
She’s the kind that makes you wish she were your sister, your cousin, your friend, your spouse

She is simply heart, simply sunshine in a shell

You would choose her for your family, save her a place beside you, wrap a Christmas gift with care, and keep her name close through every season

Even her name feels gentle when spoken:

Riley Woodell

Not because of years, gender, age, or anything the world can measure, but because something in her presence feels wonderfully, unmistakably alive

She is the person your heart points toward
and says, “There…. That’s her… That’s the medicine my life needs.”

The one you would want in your corner, the one you would never change, Not one single inch other than the smile in a different signed photograph

Poets see truth in ways others may miss.
We look differently at the world, our minds alive with ancient words, stories, and creativity

A face that catches the eye.
A spirit that catches the heart.
And then the courage to say aloud:
My God, she is just heart healing, awesome, amazing, pure, and sweet

Riley, thank you for making this poet’s world complete.
