There are few things harder for a person than loosening their grip on control.
We naturally want to know what is ahead of us; we want plans, stability, and some sense of certainty about what tomorrow holds and the days after.

Yet life does not often unfold that way. There are seasons when the path is unclear, when prayers seem to linger without an answer, and when the urge rises up in us to take matters into our own hands.

“Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass” Psalm 37:5

This instruction extends to the ordinary concerns that weigh on the heart each day. It speaks to the difficult conversation that causes unease, the financial strain that presses on the mind, the relationship that is fragile, the dream that seems delayed, and the healing that has not yet come.

Trust  is the quiet confidence that even without full understanding, Jesus remains fully aware. It is the willingness to say, I do not understand this moment, but I trust He who does.

Many people,including this writer, spend long hours turning problems over in their thoughts, attempting to predict outcomes and prepare for every possibility. This effort often leads to weariness, especially when the situation lies beyond my or our human control.

Amazingly so, the call of faith is much simpler, though not always easier, yet the promise attached to this trust is significant.
The verse above assures us that He shall bring it to pass. It does not place the burden of forcing outcomes on the you or I. It does not require constant striving or manipulation of circumstances.

Simply, and quietly, it points to a God who is already at work in unseen ways. He prepares opportunities, orders events, and shapes the heart through each season of waiting.
In many cases, the greater work is not an immediate change in circumstance, but a transformation within the person.

Through this process, one begins to recognize that the presence of God holds greater value than having every answer laid out in advance.

For this reason, it is wise not to carry the weight of tomorrow today. Each day has its own portion of grace, responsibility, and provision. The proper focus, then, is to live faithfully in the present, trusting that what lies ahead is being handled with wisdom far beyond our own.

Easier written than done, yet Truth none the less.
